Tourism with Culinary Skills

Course Description This full time PLC (Post Leaving Cert)is designed to equip learners with an extensive knowledge of the tourism industry to enable them to independently and effectively carry out a range of information, administrative and service functions in tourism related enterprises or to progress to further/higher education and training. The course offers skills-training suited to the multi-faceted tourism industry. The opportunity is provided to enahance ones culinary skills through the preparation and serving of a three course meal one day a week. Work experience is an integral part of the course - commencing with one day per week and a two week block placement in the second term. Learners participate in a number of field trips.
