Course Description

This full time PLC (Post Leaving Cert) course provides the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge, to enhance access to training, to acquire a recognised qualification and to progress to higher level programmes. The broad range of modules provides learners with a variety of experiences, with a focus on hands-on practical skills supported by theoretical knowledge of modern trends in various engineering disciplines and of the latest technologies. People seeking to improve their opportunities for worthwhile employment, apprenticeships and self-employment can gain from participating in this course. The course facilitates students who may require a 'transition year' before entering Third Level college, to develop the practical, personal and social skills necessary to meet future challenges and opportunities, to contemplate future career plans and gain competence, confidence and maturity.
